For more than 15 years akkuteam develops and manufactures special battery chargers for workshops of the Volkswagen Group. These special chargers for starter batteries designed in each case after functional requirements receive after permission of Volkswagen a VAS tool number and distribute world-wide by workshop equipment exclusively to partner enterprises of the twelve vehicle marks within the Volkswagen Group.
These equipment is laid out in their charge characteristics after world-wide defaults of the company quality assurance and partly have special functions, which only find application with internal test processes of the Volkswagen Group. VAS 5900 – Workshop Battery Charger
The robust battery charger for workshop in compact HF-construction. Self-recognizing tension choice for 6-12-24-V with 30 A nominal charging current within all ranges. Careful and accurate IUoU characteristic according to Volkswagen-QA-standard with a load preservation and an external voltage mode (alternate current source).

VAS 5900A – Intelligence for Your Workshop
The VAS 5900A represents an advanced logical development of the proven garage battery charger VAS 5900.Today, electrical power demand on the vehicle power circuit during diagnosis and repair work is consistently very high in all vehicle models. This work would be unmanageable without a vehicle power circuit support of a garage charger.
With a rated current capacity of 35 A and an easily legible, computer animated user prompt system, we have adapted a new device generation to today’s requirements for battery chargers in garage repairs.State-of-the-art inverter technology provides economical and ultra-fast performance of processes and supplies all current and voltage requirements of the vehicle power circuit, reliably and according to need.
A robust aluminium housing with practical soft rubber edges guarantees reliable operation even under the toughest conditions and provides effective protection against any vehicle damage when the device is placed in or on top of the vehicle. Pluggable power and charge cables provide secure handling during use and afterwards during storage.
Today, when deciding on an investment in such tools, it is important that not only long operational life, but also usability in future applications requirements are assured.The functionality of the VAS 5900A can be updated via a data interface and it is pre-equipped with several slots for additional hardware requirements.

VAS 5901A – The Plug-In Battery Charger
Extremely small HF-battery charger for 12 V with enormous 6 A rated current. The little giant is ideal for respectively float charging and recharging storage vehicles and at the vehicle supply. With exact IUoU characteristic this high performance equipment charge batteries with 100 Ah within 24 hours.
Charging in the vehicle power circuits by OBD-II-plug or alternatively by fully insulated charge clamps make it easy to apply.

VAS 5903 – the Power Specialist
The power charger is a guarantor for safe current supply at intensive current work in the vehicle power circuits like flashing of controllers. Charging with 12 V and 70 A creates short charging times with precise charge quantities by IUoU charge characteristics according to Volkswagen QA standard.
The integrated current consumption test I-CHECK automates test functions for the warranty handling of starter batteries according to QA standard. The equipment is updateable and can always be adapted by the operator by simple software change to the current functions of the Volkswagen standards.

VAS 5906 – the Showroom Charger
A high performance 12 V charger with 30 A rated current. Particularly construed for the vehicle power circuit supporting of exhibition and presentation vehicles. The VAS 5906 assume the supply of consumers in the vehicle power circuit up to 30 A and recharges the battery at loads over 30 A afterwards up to 14,4 V vehicle power circuit, in order to keep the vehicle operational with 13,5 V.
Simple handling without any adjustment. Plug power supply, connect charge clamps, ready – simple plug & play. An optical appealing design in an aluminum housing with a very flat building method. The charger fits under each vehicle and can also be operated in the interior of the vehicle. Absolutely noiseless without a ventilator.

VAS 6565 – The High Voltage Charger
A high voltage workshop battery charger with variable charging voltage from 100 up to 600 V and 3,0 A rated current. The VAS 6565 is particularly designed for charging traction batteries of hybrid vehicles in workshop use.
A selectable characteristic referred to the vehicle model ensures an ideal charge expiration with battery-specifically limited charge quantity. Exchangeable charging cables and a updateable software guarantee the compatibility to future vehicle models.
