Cooperation with researchers of the Energie-Forschungszentrum Niedersachsen (EFZN)
EFRE-funding for the innovative project of the network partners TU Clausthal and akkuteam
akkuteam is a specialist supplier of battery and backup power technology. We provide off-grid electrical energy supplies in mobile and in stationary sectors. With our professional knowledge in these specialized fields we support institutions and educational facilities.
Since the beginning of 2018 there has been a cooperation between akkuteam and researchers from Clausthal of the Energie-Forschungszentrum Niedersachsen (EFZN). The EFZN is a joint scientific center of the five participating universities TU Braunschweig, TU Clausthal, Georg August University Göttingen, Leibniz University Hannover and Carl von Ossietzky University Oldenburg. One of the core tasks of this institution is to bundle the energy research competencies of the contracting parties as well as to coordinate them strategically and to perform an important bridging function between research and practice.
This bundling of competencies should enable the processing of novel and highly complex and third-party-related issues in the field of energy that can not be adequately provided by individual, disciplinary-oriented institutions and temporary research networks to the required extent.
Together with the EFZN we will develop an industrial jump-start booster in the next two years. This is an innovative industry-standard start-up device that starts vehicles in unlimited numbers one after the other without a heavy-duty storage battery. This project is funded by the European Regional Development Fund.
Funding for the new construction of our Battery Care Station
EFRE funding for the construction and equipping of a permanent establishment
In the industrial area in Seesen, akkuteam operates a recharge station for starter batteries from overseas imports that have suffered a loss of voltage during transport. These batteries are no longer suitable for installation in new vehicles. This power dispenser for batteries is unique in Germany.
In order to be able to meet the growing demand and to bundle the previously decentralized warehouses in one location, akkuteam is planning a new building in the Triftstrasse industrial estate in Seesen.
This project is funded by the European Regional Development Fund. On 13th July 2018, we received the funding letter of 1.4 million euros from Dr. Bernd Althusmann, Lower Saxony Minister for Economy, Labor, Transport and Digitization.
